Welcome to the School of Biological Sciences. We offer various courses in six departments as indicated in this brochure. We have student-centred lecturers and support staff who care about our students and want them to achieve their highest academic potential.

Biology is changing as new challenges in biological sciences emerge. We have climate change with all its associated challenges; emerging diseases and their management, drought and environmental changes that impact negatively on crop production and vegetation growth; pollution and indiscriminate waste disposal and many others. Our curriculum takes into consideration these challenges. Upon graduation, our students should be able to advise policy and assist in mitigating some of these challenges depending upon the programmes they pursue.

Cape Coast and its environs have many places to see. Notable among them are the Cape Coast Castle, Elmina Castle and the Kakum National Park, where we have the exciting canopy walkway. So take the opportunity to lime your system after a hard academic work.

Our graduates are found in the banks, police, army, mines, health service, research institutes, Ghana Education Service, Universities, medical schools among others. So, I wish you all the best. Study hard, earn a good class and the job world is yours!!!!!!!!
